I held credit card debt for years - each month owing a large chunk of change to the creditor. One day I realized that if I didn't have this credit card debt that I would have plenty of free month to spend on the items I was charging. That was the turning point.
I decided to make a budget and stick to the budget. I had a plan to pay off my credit card debt. This plan took over a year; however, I have been debt free since that time, and it feels good.
These days, I still use credit cards to take advantage of the mileage offers, or cash back rewards; however, I always pay my balance every months and never incur finance charges.
Good luck to the rest of you - I hope you are all able to free yourselves from credit card debt.
